Remote and Real-time Monitor and Control of Operation Status
Traditional solar street lights need to be regularly checked the lamp usage by workers. If one of the solar street lights or several solar street lights is not on, or the lighting time is short, which greatly affects the customer experience, the IoT based solar street light can be viewed in real-time through the computer platform or APP at any time and at anyplace, no need send any personnel to the site. E-Lite iNET Cloud provides a map-based interface to monitor and control all the lighting assets. Users can view the fixture status (on, off, dim),device health,etc.,and perform overrides from the map. When viewing alarms on the map, users can easily locate and troubleshoot faulty devices and configure replacement devices. User can also request collected data including the lighting working time, battery charge/discharge status, etc. If an IoT based solar street light does not turn on, you can send a worker to check and repair it. If the lighting time is short, you can analyze the reason according to the actual situation.
Grouping and Scheduling the Work Policy
The traditional solar street light’s work policy always be set at factory or during installation, and you have to go the site to change the work policy with a remote control one by one when season changes or any other special requirements needed. But E-Lite iNET Cloud allows logical grouping of assets for event scheduling. The scheduling engine provides the flexibility to assign multiple schedules to a group, thereby keeping the regular and special events on separate schedules and avoiding user setup errors. The scheduling engine determines the daily schedule based on the event priority and sends appropriate information to various groups. For example, the IoT based solar street light can increase lighting in high crime areas or emergency situations, which is convenient and fast; to increase or decrease the lighting according to weather events and at different times of the day, etc. It is very efficient.
Data Collection and Reporting
As global warming continues, every governments are concerned about energy conservation, carbon footprint and carbon emissions. iNET reporting engine provides several built-in reports that can be run on an individual asset, selected assets, or an entire city. Energy reports provide an easy way to track energy use and compare performance across different lighting assets. Data log reports enable trending selected points (e.g. light level, wattage, schedules, etc.) for a defined period of time to help analyze behavior and track any anomalies. All reports can be exported to CSV or PDF formats. This is what the traditional solar street light couldn’t supply.
